-I am pissed about this entire contest. I'm feeling spiteful and mean and grouchy and I don't want anyone to win. So no one will. You guys don't care, so I don't care, everyone loses

-Concept; I don't really feel like there was a lot of thought put into this. I don't mean this to be offensive, but I think you just kind of wanted something easy to do so you drew his upper body and slapped a background on there. There wasn't a lot of creativity put into it

-Capturing the characters; Yeah... that's pretty much the face Halo might make if someone forced him to sit still so they could take his picture

-Art; Kind of hand-in-hand with the concept, it just kind of looks like you didn't try very hard or put a lot of work into it. Don't get me wrong, I -really- appreciate you entering, I enjoy the pic, and I definitely can respect you not spending half your life to make the pic perfect, but it does look slapped together and that knocked you into third

-Concept; I like the concept of this. I like Engel and Marvin a lot. They're the only involved romantic pairing in all of MI and I really enjoy the two of them together so seeing a picture about them was nice

-Capturing the characters; Marvin doesn't carry a picture of Engel around with him and Engel's not all sweet and nice. 'Nough said

-Art; I'm not a fan of the pre-made textures but it is a decent looking pic

I've got a couple of projects going that [hopefully] will be done soon. You can see a list of them at the bottom of this journal entry. A couple of them are actually separate parts of the same project so I need to finish all the parts before I can post them, but I think you're going to like it. I actually am putting some effort into it! Be excited!

Some story news: I am hereby officially CANCELING Invader. For those of you who were following what little was there, you have my sincerest apologies. I just didn't give the story enough time to percolate in my mind before I started writing it, and as a result, it was poorly thrown together and I wasn't enjoying it. I started it much too quickly, none of the characters were fleshed out fully and I didn't even really like them. I was just meshing it all together and now I really don't care for it, so it's not going to go any further than it did. I have removed it from my gallery and it will not be returning

Some more story news that might be interesting to you: I was digging through some of my old stuff and I found my original novel. Like... my original original novel that I started writing when I was like 10 or 11. Not all of it though, just... some alternate beginnings of it. I never really did get very far when I started writing things back then, but the ideas were there

Anyway, the story was called Fight for Ynomrah, and was about this guy named Eric Hughes. He was an archeologist who was studying something or other- that wasn't really clearly specified in the story and I don't remember- and as a result, inadvertently created an entire world called Ynomrah. Basically, the world was based on and created from stories and the human imagination. The inhabitants were called yrolgs, and they were separated into 4 species: forest, desert, mountain, and river yrolgs

Forest yrolgs, who were part wolf, were the mysterious ones who kept to themselves and were rarely seen; desert yrolgs weren't really clearly specified; mountain yrolgs were part bear and were the tough and muscular ones; and river yrolgs, also called city yrolgs, for some reason were part cat and were the most technologically advanced of the yrolgs

Emosewa, called Emo, was a girl river yrolg who both rescued and befriended Eric when he came to be in Ynomrah. Evarb- later renamed Donovan- ([link]) was her male companion (they may have been lovers, but I don't recall and I didn't get that far into the story) and he joined them as a third main character. I believe he was a mountain yrolg, but that was never clearly specified either. Another cast member, Neila ([link]), was a forest yrolg and a notorious prankster

The bad guy was named Siouxonbo. Aside from his name, I don't really remember specific details about him, except that many of the characters blamed Eric for the creation of Siouxonbo. That... I guess... makes sense... since he's the one who created Ynormah, but.... yeah

Anyway, apparently the story was about a big war between the yrolgs and Siouxonbo as they all tried to gain power and take control of this newly created world. Eric and his yrolg companions were out to create peace between the waring sides

So... just thought I would share xD. As my first attempt at -real- storytelling, it's kind of interesting to look back at it. For being that age, it's really not all that bad. I think there was another character, an older male, wizard-like, character but I scarcely remember him. I've since developed a severe hatred of characters that are "part animal" and have animal ears and a tail, and I always try to make my names more pronounceable than they were back then xD. But still... back then, Fight for Ynomrah was like my life, and now that's kind of passed on into Masked Impact
